Eid al-Fitr in Medewi

Myself and other lucky guests at the hostel I’m staying at, spent the evening celebrating Eid al-Fitr (end of Ramadan) with a Muslim family and all their friends, riding around on the back of a flatbed truck. The tray of the truck had a little hut built onto it, and 1500 watt speakers blaring a salat (think that’s the right word). We drove around the town of Medewi with thousands of other people doing the same thing, and hundreds of people lining the street to watch. It was amaaaaazing… AMAZING

Takbiran for Eid Al-Fitr in MedewiIt was really unfortunate that I had absolutely no idea how to take photographs at nighttime from a moving truck. If anyone has any tips, let me know below, pleeeeease.
